Volt is immediately hiring for a Production Support Forklift Driver in Visalia, Ca.

As a Forklift Driver you will:

The Production Support Employee is responsible for supplying raw materials and supplies to the departments to be converted to finished goods. This is done by transporting the raw materials from the raw material warehouse to the department requesting the product with a forklift or a roll clamp truck. This must be done in a safe and efficient manner and requires good eye-hand coordination in maneuvering the industrial lift and raw materials through areas that are congested with pedestrians, forklifts, building structures, machines and other materials.

The Production Support employee is also required to dispose of waste materials in the production area. This is done by lifting the waste bins with a forklift and transporting it to either the baler or the main compactor bin on the receiving dock. At that point the employee is required to ensure that all waste has been disposed of properly.

Visually inspect the forklift or clamp truck at the beginning of shift to ensure all safety devices such as brakes, mirrors and horns are in proper working order, etc..


Visually check to make sure that all departments are adequately supplied with the necessary raw materials in the appropriate staging areas. For instance, the Kidder Press and Comco Press have raw material rolls staged in the appropriate area to continue production.


Check to make sure that all waste bins in the production area have been dumped when full.


Document correctly on required paperwork as necessary for production, traceability and CoC.


Visually inspect all trailers currently staged at the receiving docks, trailer staging area, and the shipping docks. A corresponding form is filled out that describes what is in the trailers. Copies of this form are generated for all pertinent shipping personnel.


This is a Fulltime Temp-to-hire opportunity.
