for a motivated employee who would like to progress his or her
career as a Fleet Shop Supervisor. In this role, you will help Mid
Valley Disposal by leading the fleet team towards successfully
repairing refuse trucks and equipment, including inventory
management, Preventive Maintenance Schedule, and scheduling of
major repairs. Ensures a safe working environment, leads a
safety-focused culture, and emphasizes standard repair times and
that assigned tasks are completed on time and efficiently and the
repairs are performed correctly.QUALIFIED CANDIDATES WOULD BE
EXPECTED TO:Maintain a continuous commitment to ensuring a safe
work environment by conducting safety training and ensuring
Mechanics and PM Technicians are adhering to established safety
standards-- Assign daily work orders to technicians-- Ensures
housekeeping is complete and assigns as necessary -- Maintain truck
and equipment files to DOT, CHP and OSHA and Cal-Osha Standards.
Send out evening update reports and communicates with the
operations teamEnsure the completion of work orders and input into
applicable software programs. Ensures a 90% productivity rating
within the applicable siteMust be able to have and maintain an
accurate inventory to include audits and cycle countsCommunicates
with Vendors as directed by the Fleet ManagerFollow and enforce all
company policies and procedures with Mechanics and PM TechsEnsures
PM compliance throughout the applicable siteRegularly reports to
fleet manager status and timelines on truck repairs and serviceMust
be able to perform any other tasks as assignedSupervise and perform
repairs or maintenance on all company-owned equipment
including:Trucks and EquipmentMRF EquipmentYellow
IronAutomobilesEXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:Minimum Knowledge and Skills
RequiredAbility to communicate effectively both
written/verbalAbility to diagnose and repair company equipment and
be able to guide and train the teamExceptional listening,
communication, follow through, and interpersonal skillsDetail
oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skillsMust
have computer skills. Familiarity with MS office programs. Ability
to effectively use Dossier Software, Cummins Insite, Bendix Acom,
and Allison Doc.Extensive knowledge of DOT rules and
regulationsClass B CDL is preferred but not requiredHigh school
diploma or general education degree (GED) Fluency in Spanish is
preferred but not required. This is a full-time position with a
benefits package. Salary/Hourly rate will be determined based on
experience and training of the candidate. Schedule will be Monday
through Friday occasionally Saturday.Mid Valley Disposal proudly
