Job Description:

Seeking a short-term contract / temporary position? Robert Half is doing the hiring process for an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk for a rapidly-expanding company. As the Accounts Payable Clerk, you will match, batch and code invoices, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks. You will be working alongside a strong staff of hard working individuals who have a team minded approach. This Accounts Payable Clerk role will be located in the Visalia, California area and will be a short-term contract / temporary position.

Major responsibilities

- Ensure compliance with company policies while carrying out daily processes and controls accurately and on time

- Provide internal and external audit assistance as required

- Support the AP/Finance Department by completing administrative tasks

- Accomplish full-cycle A/P

- Handle the customer service needs of internal business partners

- Sort, log, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents

- Carry out additional tasks as assigned

- Manage the process of verifying, logging, and mailing checks, including expediting special handling

- Manage department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it on a daily basis - AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred

- Competent with spreadsheets and databases

- Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds

- 5+ years of experience in an A/P role preferred

- Proven knowledge of Code Invoices

- Good understanding of Prepare Invoices

- Comprehensive knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)

- Deep understanding of Code Invoices

- Quality experience with Invoice Issues

- Previous experience working with MRP ERP System

- Practical knowledge of Invoice Discrepancies

- Enter Invoices experience preferred

- Well-founded grasp of Enter Invoices

- Experience with Enter Vendor Invoices

- Knowledge of Approved Invoices

- Skills in Microsoft Excel

- Wide ranging experience with Invoice Processing

- Earlier work involving Post Invoices

- General familiarity with Enter Vendor Invoices

- Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
