We are in search of a full-time multi-role capable engineer with network engineering and sysadmin experience. Particularly seeking out a candidate who is hungry to be part of a small, dynamic, rapidly growing team whose definition of fun is playing with cool tech. This is a remote/work from home position, but MUST be on Pacific time zone.
Required Skills:

• Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS)
• Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations
• Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability
• Provide Level-2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues
• CCNA or higher (CCIE and/or CISSP highly valued)
• Firm understanding of the IP/TCP protocol stack
• Confidence using CLI interfaces for management (Cisco, Ruckus, etc)
• Understanding & practice of virtualization (VMware & Hyper-V)
• Experience in datacenter technologies and server hardware
• Prior implementation of VPN configurations (PPTP, OpenVPN, & IPsec)
• Participation in the configuration of enterprise Wi-Fi systems (Ruckus)
• Knowledge in management of Routers & Switches (Mikrotik, Ruckus, & Cisco)
• VLANs in enterprise environments
• Professionalism with working from home
• Focused when tasked with data input projects
• Ability to document project plans & work accomplished
• Enthusiasm for growth and self-development
• Interest in the tech sector
  Preferred Skills:
  • History of working in the WISP industry
  • Experience using cloud technologies (AWS & Azure)
  • Background in LTE technology
  • Familiarity with Solarwinds (IPAM, Network Performance Monitor, & Passportal)
  • Occasional weekend & evening availability for projects or outages
  • Use of professional communication platforms (Slack, Asana, & Zoom)
  • Strong experience using Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Visio)
  • Skills in scripting (Bash & Python)
  • Demonstrated abilities for automation
