Exline, Inc., a leader in providing diversified products and services to the natural gas, petro chemical, power generation, mining, plastics and other industries for more than 140 years is seeking a high energy, experienced Technical Account Manager--(TAM) in our--Ignition and Automation division. The Technical Account Manager will provide electrical/mechanical technical support remote and onsite to all end users within the designated region. The TAM is responsible for managing the relationship between Exline, Incorporated and our--most strategic account within--our West coast territory of California, Arizona, Nevada, Utah, Oregon, Washington State, Alaska and Hawaii. Ideal candidate will be located in the US west coast region. The Technical Account Manager will develop and maintain relationships with key customer personnel across several functions. The TAM is responsible for protecting Exline's share position, identifying opportunities for sales and margin growth, and providing guidance to leadership and other internal functions to help align company resources in a way that creates value for Exline and its strategic accounts. The candidate must be a result driven sales professional, with a record of achievement demonstrating initiative and ownership of their business. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:* Establish relationships with key contacts within the customer's supply chain, engineering, field services and quality departments, among others. Frequent visits to customer/distributor locations are required for technical and sales support. * Understand and align to the market drivers and strategy of major customers, while also providing feedback to the management team that will help inform the company's strategies for growth.* Work closely with internal sales, external sales and engineering functions to develop and deliver commercial proposals to customers, providing guidance on requirements when needed.* Protect Exline's position within account by creating and monitoring key performance metrics and managing customer sentiment. Coordinate across functions to quickly correct complaints when they arise, enhance our position as problem solvers.* Grow revenue and deepen position within account by implementing product technology upgrades and executing on share gain opportunities.* Deliver business level projections to Exline's finance and operations group on a regular basis.* Coordinate periodic meetings between Exline, Inc. and customer supply chain, engineering and new product development departments among others to drive close communication and align Exline department priorities with needs of key accounts.* Create and manage customer contact map on a regular basis, ensuring that relationships are built between the appropriate people at Exline, Inc. and the customer accounts.* Support technical needs of customer, which includes performing periodic training events and assisting in technical troubleshooting when needs arise.* Maintain an understanding of competitive landscape and position and implement the appropriate pricing strategies.* Assist in supporting smaller accounts as required.Required Qualifications:* Strong electrical technical background * A minimum of five (5) years' experience in sales of highly engineering products required. * Experience with sales in rotating equipment (pumps, compressors, turbines, etc.) is preferred.* Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain long term customer relationships.* Must be a mature, confident, technically astute self-starter.* Strong electrical and controls analytical and problem-solving skills.* Must have excellent written and oral communication skills coupled with the ability to manage a consultative sales process.* Experience in an environment of continuous improvement that includes the use of tools such as process analysis and Lean techniques.* Demonstrated ability to inspire and develop collaboration amongst cross-functional teams.* Possess excellent computer skills, be proficient in all Microsoft Office Products.* Extensive knowledge of PLC and Microprocessor based equipment.* Be willing to travel to customer and end user sites in the US (75-85%).* Prepare and present commercial presentations and business reports to all levels of management.* Demonstrate professional integrity and manner.* Responsible for all company owned equipment, automobiles, computers, credit cards, keys, phones.* Comply with Exline, Incorporated business ethics policies.* Comply with non-disclosure for all Exline, Inc. intellectual property.* Bachelor's degree in engineering or other relevant, technical field experience preferredWorking Conditions:This is a position with extensive travel.--Requires traveling via company issued vehicle with overnight stays.--Business to be conducted via phone and/or computer from remote locations and home office.Salary will be commensurate with skill and experience.
