you. The Opportunity 15-month program at Kaweah Health Medical
Center designed to train AP’s in Emergency Medicine utilizing
didactic and clinical experience. Fellows will complete off-site
rotations at Adventist Health Tulare, attend weekly formal didactic
training and discussion, and attend weekly conferences with EM
Residents. Hands-on clinical training and close supervision
provided by certified PA’s, NP’s, and BE/BC Emergency Physicians.
Exposure to emergency medicine, critical care, trauma surgery,
emergency ultrasound, pediatrics, mental health, and intake
rotation. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced
Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), as well as Pediatric Advanced Life
Support (PALS). Program focuses on clinical excellence, provider
wellness and longevity, and the development of leadership qualities
that will prepare graduates to be future leaders in their field.
Fellows learn how to rapidly evaluate emergent and non-emergent
patients, gain experience in procedures of emergency medicine,
develop leadership skills, and appropriately disposition patients
and interact with attending and consulting physicians. This is a
paid fellowship with benefits and malpractice insurance included.
Required Experience and Competencies Physician Assistant applicants
must be NCCPA certified or a graduate of an ARC-PA accredited
program. Nurse Practitioners must be AANC or AANP certified, or a
graduate of a CCNE or ACEN accredited program. BLS, ACLS, DEA
Schedule II-V or equivalent furnishing certificate is required
prior to start of program. Must be licensed to practice in the
State of California. Previous EMS/ED work experience is highly
desirable but not required. Application Process & Timeline

fee. The Practice Kaweah Health Medical Center – Visalia,
California 90,000 annual ED visits. Level III trauma facility with
new helipad. An extensive medical simulation lab – the largest in
the region and has the latest 3G Sim Man. Cutting edge ED advances:
scribes, rapid medical evaluation system, comprehensive ED and
in-patient electronic health records. Comprehensive ED Support:
24/7 EM Pharmacists, Spanish Interpreters, RCP, LCSW, and Case
Management. Advanced Primary Stroke Center. Comprehensive Cardiac
Center. Collaborative opportunities with our academic affiliate:
University of Southern California. Adventist Health Tulare –
Tulare, California Vituity is partnering with Adventist to manage
the Emergency Department and the Hospitalist Service. A 112-bed
hospital with a 15 bed Emergency Department. On-site Radiology and
tele-radiology coming soon. CT and MRI available. Lab and ICU on
site. May be cross credentialed at the sister sites of Adventist
Health Selma, Adventist Health Reedley, and Adventist Health
Hanford. The Community Visalia, California, is a charming city
