What will you be doing in this role? The LVN supports the physician
and nursing staff in the delivery of health care by performing
patient care assessments, and a variety of medically related tasks.
The LVN is a licensed nurse who works in an ambulatory care setting
to provide nursing services. Job duties and responsibilities: -
Sets up exam room/procedure rooms appropriately based on patient
visit needs - Performs initial nursing intake and prepares patients
for examination - Prepares patients for examination by reviewing
current medications and reviewing documents in medical record -
Prepares medical chart and records patient information needed to
support the reason for visit such as vital signs and reason for
visit - Provides basic patient care and treatments such as taking
vitals, performing diagnostic tests, phlebotomy, and specimen
collection directed by the provider - Observes patient, documents,
and reports any changes in condition to the provider for
instructions in taking necessary actions for care - Serves as a
patient advocate and utilizes appropriate resources to support
patient care Qualifications Education: - Completion of an
accredited Vocational Nurse program License/Certifications: - Valid
CA LVN license required - BLS from the American Heart Association
and/or the American Red Cross required (BLS expiration date must be
valid 60 days from the start date) - IV/BW (intravenous/blood
withdrawal) certification, must obtain within one year from hire
date Experience: - 1 years of LVN experience in an outpatient
