division, McWane Plant and Industrial (MPI). This new division,
based in Birmingham, AL, combines all Plant and Industrial Products
in a single customer-focused package. We offer comprehensive
solutions through an experienced team of professionals specifically
focused on these two special markets. Our Mission is to be the
Plant and Industrial supplier who is "easiest to do business with".
We will make it easier to engineer, specify, and order components
for plants. We will provide greater support for smoother delivery,
cost-effective installation, and start-up. Most importantly, we
will build strong relationships with design engineers, contractors,
plant operations teams and project owners to assure we are their
first-choice supplier for both new construction and future
upgrades.At MPI, you will be part of a fast-paced, collaborative,
start up where you can see, firsthand, how your work translates
into positive results.Position SummaryThe Project Manager is based
out of the Exeter, CA facility. This position directs orders from
the contract through the completion of the order. Managing all
stages of the process from submittal, order release, order updates,
coordination issues with contractor of customers, to the options on
startup and warranties. Directs, tracks, and expedites all
milestone deadlines required for project success and on-time
delivery. Works extensively with engineering, manufacturing, and
outside sales teams to manage the large orders. Measures, tracks
and coordinates shipping and startup. Makes sound decisions and can
call meetings to communicate issues and maintain holding an order
to our promised delivery date.Essential FunctionsDirects processes,
workflow, and standard work for the following MPI functions:Review
contract T&C's and expedite order contract review. General
order management of orders from entry to release manufacturing and
communication with involved parties.Manage submittal creation and
communication of first submittal.Cross-divisional coordination to
execute on orders requiring components and assistance from multiple
McWane divisions and product solutions. Post order communication
and scheduling for field service work. Reviews lead time with
operations and application engineers.Involved in inter-division
communication and order protocols for intercompany orders to
execute solutions involving multiple plants and brands. Oversees
final task with voice of customer surveys and providing feedback to
management on process and operation improvement opportunities.All
other duties as assigned by management.Basic QualificationsMinimum
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering or
related field from accredited college or university.Minimum five
(5) years' experience as project manager in operations and/or sales
environment.Proven knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications
and project management software.Ability to effectively prioritize
and handle multiple projects with attention to detail.Must have
exceptional interpersonal, organizational structure, and leadership
skills.Ability to communicate at all levels within the
organization.Preferred QualificationsPMP CertificationFive (5)
years' experience as project manager in operations and/or sales in
the waterworks industryPrior mechanicalaptitude or engineering
backgroundPosition RequirementsMust have valid driver license and
be eligible for auto insurance coverage.Minimum of 5% (air/car)
