Seeking a stellar Manager, Network Design Engineering who possesses RUS (Rural Utilities Service) experience AND an Engineering Degree!

The Manager, Network Design Engineering is accountable for the supervision and management of all phases of network planning, engineering and contract construction of Outside Plant, Central Office and Radio facilities and additions, and RUS and General Funds contracts. Assists with RUS loan design preparation. Supervises right-of-way and land acquisitions. Access and exposure to highly sensitive documents, material and conversation requires strict confidentiality on the part of the Engineering Manager.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor degree, emphasis in Engineering, or equivalent TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Computer proficient, with emphasis on Microsoft Office
  • Knowledgeable and proficient in reading and interpreting various engineering designs, including schematics, plant maps and cable records
  • Knowledgeable and proficient in RUS units, practices and procedures
  • Knowledgeable in AM/FM/GIS systems
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license and completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam preferred.
  • Possesses and maintains a valid and unrestricted class "C" driver's license, with driving records that provides insurability under the Company's vehicle insurance carrier and within the guidelines of the Company WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
    • 15 years diverse experience in telephony with at least 10 of those years in a position of outside plant engineer or central office engineer
    • 5 years supervisory experience
