In-Office, Hybrid, Fully Remote OptionsWorking in cooperation with
others throughout the company, the Associate Project Manager is
accountable for successfully managing integrated components of
projects. The Associate Project Manager works closely with the
client, agencies, vendors, subconsultants and QK staff (e.g., team
leaders, technical experts, accounting department, marketing
staff), to assure that all aspects of the project are completed on
schedule and within budget. Success is measured by achieving
results, based on defined standards, in the following areas:Plan
and monitor resources in Deltek for various projects within
multiple disciplines and for multiple project managers, ensure
resource availability and allocation throughout the life of the
projectFormulate project proposals by researching past projects,
evaluating proposal request details, and coordinating intel from
various internal resources as needed to formulate a comprehensive
and competitive proposalDefine and manage project scope, schedule
and budget, including monitoring progress versus achievement of
clients' expectations, escalate to management as neededMaintain
continuous effective communication on project status with all
internal and external stakeholdersAttend or facilitate meetings as
needed with clients to take detailed ordering briefs and clarify
specific requirements of each project and relay pertinent
information to stakeholders in a timely mannerMeasure project
performance using appropriate tools and techniques. Monitor, track
and control outcomes to resolve issues, conflicts, dependencies and
critical path deliverables. Report to stakeholders and escalate to
management as neededEnsure that each stage of the project is
progressing on time and on budgetTake initial inquiries from client
via phone/office visit to assess their needs for our services and
present the QK value propositionDevelop spreadsheets, diagrams and
process maps to document client and stakeholder needs, project
progress, timelines and quality milestones and present in meetings
as neededCollect data to provide status reporting regarding project
milestones, deliverable, dependencies, risks and issuesAct as an
internal quality control check from beginning to the end of the
project. Document and evaluate quality control milestones and
follow up with key stakeholders when proper documentation is not
submitted to ensure that proper QC measures were takenParticipate
in quality issue resolution when necessary, document for learning
measures and coach staff on risk management as needed, with the
assistance of the QA/QC team Prepare or collect documents needed in
disputes, negotiations, arbitration or litigation, as
neededMonitor, track and assist in controlling outcomes to resolve
issues, conflicts, dependencies and critical path
deliverablesDetermine the frequency and content of status reports
from the project and program team. Analyze results of status
reports and troubleshoot problem areas. Deliver appropriate and
effective management and executive level communication in a timely
manner as issues or concerns ariseAttend monthly business meetings
to report on project milestones, deliverable, dependencies, risks
and issues, and billing and payment status. Responsible to collect
payment from clients in order to meet accounting expectations.
Anticipate client, business, and community issues and communicate
suggestions to influence client, managerial and other stakeholder's
attention to themMonitor project performance and advise
stakeholders and teaming partners of ways to correct performance
gapsBuild organizational relationships; understand the roles and
interrelationships of all partners; foster teamwork within and
across departments; and cultivate a strong, diverse network or
relationships inside and outside the firmVisit construction site to
monitor progress and other duties per the contract documents,
reporting all findings to the project manager and other
stakeholders in a timely fashionAttend client meetings, take notes,
make presentations and represent the project manager and QK as
necessary
Requirements:
EDUCATION Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in
project management, engineering, land surveying, planning, etc.
Certification or license in engineering, construction management,
planning, project management or land surveying
preferredEXPERIENCEMinimum of three (3) years' experience in a dual
role of support and leadershipMinimum of two (2) years' experience
in successfully assisting in managing or solely managing
deliverables on time and within budgetMinimum of two (2) years'
experience in establishing, developing and maintaining profitable
client relationships through marketing QKs value propositions to
