We have an exciting opportunity for an Operations Manager at our newest start up Distribution Center (DC) located in Visalia, CA. As a member of the Senior Management team, the Operations Manager will be responsible to oversee and direct distribution center operational teams to maximize safety, quality, productivity and employee relations. Areas of responsibility could include but not limited to Safety, Outbound, Inbound, Inventory, Data, Customer Service and Profiling. The Operations Manager will have direct reports and will be responsible for providing leadership, vision, insight and motivation within their areas of responsibility. In addition to managing a team, the Operations Manager will also develop and implement short and long term plans for all departments in accordance with Ace objectives and strategic plans and is responsible for the warehouse's success.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead, support and encourage Ace Values: Winning, Excellence, Love, Integrity, Gratitude, Humility and Teamwork.
• Oversee activities directly related to warehouse operations, utilizing Lean tools and methodologies.
• Establish and implement departmental policies, goals, objectives, and procedures, conferring with senior leadership, staff members, and others within the organization as necessary.
• Review financial statements and reports, and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement and to determine areas needing cost reduction and program improvement.
• Determine staffing requirements, along with conducting and/or overseeing the interview process. Make hiring decisions and oversee training of new employees.
• Provide guidance and direction to subordinates, including setting performance standards and monitoring performance. Plan and direct activities of others.
• Create developmental opportunities for direct reports, as well as their subordinates.
• Establish processes to ensure the highest quality and most efficient deliveries to Ace retailers.
• Actively pursue succession planning for self and subordinates.
• Flexible to deal with issues that arise outside of normal business hours.
• Other duties as assigned.
  
  MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 2 years related experience preferably in the field of distribution
  • Demonstrated knowledge of productivity measurement tools
  • Preferred working knowledge of Ace policies and procedures
  • Previous experience managing exempt level Supervisors/Managers
  • Successful management experience involving multiple areas of responsibility with Distribution
