Community Manager (Full-Time or Contract)

Job Description:

We are looking for a highly motivated and organized professional to help us nurture our growing community of experts , who are essential to the success of our users and business. It is up to you to help plan and execute different processes to inform, engage and motivate these individuals.

The ideal candidate is a natural "people person" type of individual -- s/he possess these qualities:
An advocate that represents and empowers others.

A transparent over-communicator that keeps everyone up-to-date.

A networker who seeks multiple ways to engage different types of personas.

An advisor type who has "open door policies" to listen and care.

The key success factors of this role will be based upon the engagements of our experts on Hopps platform and their satisfaction (e.g., NPS scores).


Be a key contact for experts to reach out for anything, including day-to-day support: e.g., onboarding / training, user sessions technical issues, handling payments, etc.

Create and manage expert-specific communication channels including Slack, mailing lists and social media accounts. May help co-develop a new community destination.

Help create onboarding and training materials for experts.

Help establish and maintain different quality standards and protocols.

Develop metrics to keep track of expert engagements and the health of the network.

Help develop and improve the expert journey on our system, as well as help with new ways to incentivize experts to help beyond sessions (e.g., recruit new experts, etc.).

Requirements: Experience building and managing communities (e.g., online communities for users / developers; organizers of conferences / meetups).

Either direct hands-on experience with multiple SaaS platforms (e.g., Google / Facebook ads, Google Analytics or Tag Manager, Salesforce / HubSpot, MailChimp, Webflow / Wordpress / Shopify, Mixpanel / Segment / Optimizely) or have worked at such companies.

Have hands-on support and marketing experience: email marketing, support / ticket operations, live chat, etc.

Validated self-starter with strong-problem solving skills, deeply organized with unfailing attention to detail

Effective and efficient communicator who can proactively anticipate needs and stay ahead of them

Demonstrated success in an entrepreneurial environment, ideally within a startup or high-growth marketplace

Identify roadblocks and solve them with invention, innovation, and empathy.

Well-developed written, presentation and verbal communication skills

Ability to work independently with adaptability, integrity, tenacity and a love of learning, and distributing your knowledge and ideas to leadership, peers and direct reports

Bachelor's degree or higher.

The role can be remote in any US location. Our HQ is in Los Angeles and operating hours are based on Pacific Time.

Salary Range: $80k-110k
