Job Description:

Goodall Brazier are currently partnered with an highly funded and emerging Biotech company who have established a new innovative discovery platform for Cancer and Rare liver diseases. They are committed to a providing a science-based and innovative approach to leading a clinical research and development pipeline, developing first-in-class and best-in-class innovative drugs.
They are currently searching for a Business Development Transactions Director to lead their transaction process in the corporate and business development group.

This is a Remote position, with a successful candidate being located on the West Coast .


Lead and over see the transaction process, working in cross functionally in partnership with other functions within the Corporate and Business Development group. You will negotiate, frame and close deals with the use of a variety of deal structures.
Review and negotiate agreements in order to reflect market-terms and the agreed to business transaction, gathering input from relevant stakeholders
Use both primary and secondary research to advance strategic decision making.
Build complex valuation models to help summarize diligence and support prioritization
Conduct primary qualitative and quantitative market research, building an understanding of end markets, including market size, competitive landscape, and value chain.
Assessment of potential development, in-licensing and external partnerships opportunities for commercial indications.
Develop and maintain processes and enhance strategies for the management of various transaction structures to maximize quality of transactions
Liaise with internal departments to develop and maintain the best practices for managing the transaction pipeline. Streamlining thee process from transaction signing to implementation.
Engage with external partners and collaborate on agreement related activities. Standardizing templates, in partnership with legal, to streamline the transaction process.


MD, PhD, JD and/or MBA or other advanced degree in the biomedical field is desired.
Strong knowledge and experience within the pharmaceutical industry, hold a strong acumen in deal making (e.g., consulting and venture capital)
Minimum of 3 years of leading business development and licensing, transactions and/or mergers and acquisitions.
Expertise and a deal sheet presenting prior transactions in the industry indicating prior successful deal leadership to closing across a range of counterparties/development partners is required. --- Deep scientific curiosity and commitment to advancing therapeutic innovation that provides better solutions for patients.
A critical thinker with analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
The ability to lead multiple negotiation possesses of financial and legal terms of term sheet proposals and contracts.
Expertise in numerous contractual concepts across the value chain with the ability to translate operational activities into legal language.
You will need a high degree of familiarity and understanding of financial, patents and legal concepts in contracts.
Proven ability to prioritize and handle large number of responsibilities without compromising delivery quality or timelines.
Experience working with multinational internal and external multidisciplinary teams.
Flexibility to travel 30%
